Our History:

In 1967, Roger Drobney founded HDI Builders with the aim of becomming the best in the custom home business. During more than four decades, Roger's goal has been realized. HDI Builders enjoys a solid reputation for quality, innovation, and tremendous customer satisfaction that has led many prior customers to build second and even third homes with us. Our professional building team understands that your home is both an important investment and an extension of you and your lifestyle. We attempt to design and build the perfect custom home for every client by utilizing only the finest materials, the best ceaftspeople, and many years of building experience.

Team Bio:

Dear Prospective New Home Buyer,

As a second generation homebuilder, I grew up building homes.  It’s in my blood.  As a child I stood on a chair to see over the desk where my dad drew new home designs.  He taught me the value of good design, and the value of building strong relationships with our homeowners.  He told me “When you build a home for someone you’re entering into a long term relationship with them, a partnership.”  The design and building process takes several months but the relationship continues through the warranty and many years beyond - and we take that relationship with you seriously.

 
I worked on the construction of homes as a teenager and, with the goal to become a better builder, earned a degree in Architecture from the University of Michigan and then a Master of Real Estate Development and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California.  There is much to be learned in school, but the most important lessons I’ve learned from working with my dad, Roger, and his partner of over forty years, Doug Showers:  people, and pride in your work make the difference.

 
We are not a production builder that turns out cookie cutter homes.  I am directly involved in the design, construction and selections of every home we build.  This is to your advantage as a prospective new home owner because I am a “hands-on” builder, and maintain high standards of construction, while providing superior customer service and communication.  If you have a question or concern, you can call me directly.
